PUBLIC NOTICE
 The Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces that pursuant to Virgin Islands Rules and Regulations, Title 12, Chapter 21, Section 904-9 meetings of the St. Thomas Committee of the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission have been scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Zoom.

Public Hearing for Federal Consistency Determination, CZM0030-24, has been submitted by the U.S. Amry Corps of Engineers for Savan Gut Phase II.

The purpose of the project is to reduce flood damage to the Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School and the Central Business District in downtown Charlotte Amalie. The Savan section of Charlotte Amalie has extremely high runoff rates due to the steep slopes in the upper basin.

The Savan Gut project area is in Charlotte Amalie, on the south side of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
