The Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces that pursuant to Virgin Islands Rules and Regulations, Title 12, Chapter 21, Section 904-9 meetings of the St. John Committee of the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission have been scheduled to begin on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams.
Public Hearing for Federal Consistency Determination, Repair & Maintenance No, 0060-25- Federal Highway Administration- Lameshur Road Repairs.
The Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in cooperation with the National Park Service, is proposing to repair and rehabilitate Lameshur Road in Virgin Islands National Park located on the island of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Proposed repair and rehabilitation work will include the following: rehabilitation of roadway subgrade and base as needed, roadway grading, aggregate surface course, installation of cellular confinement system (CCS) adjacent to low water crossings, drainage improvements, including installation of new low water crossings where needed, ditch reconditioning, construction of a new parking area with rockery retaining wall, and other miscellaneous road work.
