The surgical team consisted of veterinary ophthalmologists Dr. Rob Swinger and Dr. Andrew Lichtig, anesthesiologists Dr. James Bailey and Dr. Julie Balco. Veterinary intern Dr. Amber Lumb and Steven Nelson, hospital manager, from the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut.
