3rd Circuit agrees Carnival Committee's trademarks are generic terms
A federal appellate court has agreed that the V.I. Carnival Committee is unlikely to succeed in blocking the government from using its trademarks, “St. Thomas Carnival” and “Virgin Islands Carnival,” because the terms are too generic to be privately owned.
