Victoria Vega Vargas Dies at 92

Victoria Vega Vargas a.k.a. “Negra” of Estate New Works transitioned into eternal life on June 24, 2025. She was 92 years old. 

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Ana Mercedes Vargas; Father, Cecilio Vega; Sister, Lorenza Vega Vargas; Brothers, Antonio “Tonito” Vega and Andres Vega; Nephews, Andres Vega Jr. and Jose Luis Vega. 

She is survived by her Husband, Bernabe Santiago, Jr.; Daughter, Lerida Vega; Son, Daniel Santiago-Colon; Grandchildren, Victoria N. Latorre, Sol L. Bennett, Arelis M. Latorre, Daniel Santiago, Jr., Lymaris Towers, Yolanda Santiago -Nelson; Great Grandchildren, Malik Blair, Augustin Encarnacion IV, Genesis Blair, Raymond Blair, Marlon Bruce Jr., Jeremiah King; Brothers, Percio Vega, Antonio Vega, Dario Vega; Nieces, Maria Christina Vega, Yoly Rosario, Daneri Vega, Margaret Vega; Special Friends, Lydia Quiñones, Juanita Camacho, Angie Estien, Flor Camacho, Soria Warner, Maria Ventura, Mercedes Perez, Marlon Keith Bruce, Wilberto Bennett, Troy Blair, Dwayne Galloway, Jose Luis Gomere, Mabel, Maria Santiago, Migdalia Ventura, Keanu Ruiz. Other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at Alpha Y Omega Church (Strawberry Hill). Viewing will begin at 9:00 am with service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
