Seaborne Airlines will suspend all seaplane flight operations between St. Thomas and St. Croix from May 31 through June 6, 2025, to complete a mandatory aircraft corrosion inspection, the airline announced.
The weeklong pause affects the airline’s DeHavilland Twin Otter aircraft and is part of a routine safety measure required to ensure compliance with aviation standards. In a statement, the company emphasized that the inspection is critical to maintaining the long-term safety, reliability, and integrity of its fleet.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause our passengers,” the airline said in a statement Thursday. “But we believe this short-term pause is essential to uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.”
Seaborne said it expects to resume full service on June 7 and is working to assist affected customers with rebooking or refunds. Passengers with reservations during the suspension period are encouraged to contact Seaborne’s customer service team or visit www.seaborneairlines.com for the latest updates.
The airline expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of its customers across St. Croix, St. Thomas, and the broader region.
