Raymix SC asserted themselves against Massey Soccer Academy as a considerable force in the USVISF Men’s Premier League, especially in the second half of play.
Clervens D’Haiti set the tone Sunday evening on Ivanna Eudora Kean field, scoring in the 8th minute before Massey’s Jonathan Joseph equalized just nine minutes later. The remainder of the first half saw high energy and midfield battles but ended deadlocked at 1-1.
Raymix head coach Glen Monticeux made decisive changes before halftime, bringing on Jamesky Fraisint, Herve Omilus, and Pierre Wood — all of whom altered the pace of the game. The second half turned gritty, with hard contact and flaring tempers as both teams fought for the edge. Monticeux’s substitutions proved key: Fraisint, Omilus, and Wood each found the back of the net, delivering a confident 4-1 win for Raymix.
Meanwhile, Prankton SC has not yet found their footing this season, suffering a heavy 12-0 loss to CAPA at St. Croix’s Bethlehem Soccer Complex.
CAPA opened strong with early goals from Davion Bell and Rabi Abdallah, then unleashed a first-half blitz from Trevon Thorpe, who scored three goals in just seven minutes to take a 5-0 lead into halftime. Thorpe added another immediately after the restart, with teammate Hurbert Prince joining the scoresheet just one minute later.
Despite a flurry of Prankton substitutions and a yellow card issued to CAPA’s Jamol Yorke, momentum remained with CAPA. Thorpe and Glenson Scotland worked in tandem throughout the second half, scoring four more goals in a span of nine minutes. Scotland sealed the victory in the 82nd minute, capping off a stunning 12-0 performance and clean sheet for goalkeeper Candel Rawlins.
On Sunday, St. Croix’s Rovers and Helenites face off at Bethlehem Soccer Complex, followed by New Vibes vs LRVI at Ivanna Eudora Kean High School on St. Thomas.
