Sun Country Airlines will double its seasonal service from Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport to Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas, offering two weekly flights for the upcoming winter and spring 2026 travel season, according to a press release from the V.I. Tourism Department.
The expanded route will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from Dec. 13, 2025, through April 12, 2026, increasing access to the territory for Midwestern travelers seeking warm-weather, passport-free vacations, according to the press release.
“We are excited to see Sun Country Airlines expand its service to St. Thomas — a clear indicator of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ growing popularity as a preferred Caribbean destination,” said Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte. “Increasing connectivity from the Midwest continues to be a top priority, and we look forward to welcoming even more visitors from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area as we build on this strong partnership.”
Flights are available for booking at www.suncountry.com. For more information on travel to the territory, visit www.visitusvi.com.
