Marilyn Fahie Penn Dies

The family of the late Marilyn Fahie Penn wishes to inform the community of her passing on Sunday, Oct. 26, one day prior to the burial of her first daughter, Rosie May Penn. 

Marilyn was the co-founder and owner of the Daylight Bakery and Diamond Barrel Restaurant on St. Thomas.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Brenda Penn- Lewis, Sherill, Dudley, George, and Renaldo Penn, Sr.

She is also survived by her stepchildren Romney Sr., Franzel, Dr. Franklyn, Liston Thomas, Devon Callwood and Jordan Penn.

Grandchildren: Tiffany Theodore, Raheilio Lewis, Dudley Jr., Delariise, Desiree, Elon, Tenisha, Mikey,  and Renaldo “RJ” Penn Jr.

Sisters: Alice Fahie Donovan and Esther Fahie Penn.

Mrs. Marilyn is also survived by a host of loving family and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Friday, Dec. 5 at Wesley Methodist Church in Anna’s Retreat from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The service will be at 10

Internment will be at eastern cemetery.

PUBLIC NOTICE
The Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces that pursuant to Virgin Islands Rules and Regulations, Title 12, Chapter 21, Section 904-9 meetings of the St. John Committee of the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission have been scheduled to begin on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams.

Public Hearing for Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0046-25- Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Services- Robert O’Connor Fire Station Reconstruction Project.

The project proposes demolition and reconstruction of the fire station. The new structure will be three (3) stories measuring approximately 9,825 gross square feet. The proposed facility will be constructed in virtually the same footprint as the existing with a minor expanded footprint to accommodate the additional square footage. The existing facility will be demolished prior to the commencement of new construction.
The project site is located at Estate Enighed Parcel No. 303, Cruz Bay Quarter, St. John, VI 00801.
