Lockhart K-8 School on St. Thomas has been evacuated following safety protocols due to a 9-1-1 call that indicated a potential threat on the school campus, the V.I. Education Department announced in an “urgent alert” issued Monday at 2:26 p.m.
“Parents are asked NOT to pick up their children. All students are safe. VIPD is on the scene to conduct necessary searches to ensure the safety of the school campus,” according to the alert.
