Judicial Branch of the Virgin Islands Commencement of Phase II – Roof Replacement and Office Expansion Project – Superior Court of the Virgin Islands R.H. Amphlett Leader Justice Complex located at No. 1 Kingshill Hall of Justice, St. Croix VI, 00850
The Judicial Branch of the Virgin Islands hereby notifies the general public of the commencement of Phase II of the Roof Replacement and Office Expansion Project at the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands RH Amphlett Leader Justice Complex located at No. 1 Kingshill Hall of Justice, St. Croix, VI 00850. Phase II is scheduled to commence on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Phase II will include the facility improvements such as roof hardening with the installation of a roof hugger retrofitted system, construction of a space frame over the central courtyard and ballistic proof entry curtain wall enclosure. The space frame will incorporate translucent corrugated hurricane panels, impact resistant glass, and a louvered ventilation system to enhance durability and energy efficiency while expanding the interior useable footprint of the court. The court will also maximize interior space through a redesign of administrative offices, construction of new ADA-compliant restrooms, a modernized employee lounge, and the addition of a concrete swale to improve exterior drainage and mitigate flood impact. Construction activities will take place Monday through Saturday between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm. The project will not impact traffic flow and there will be no public facing site changes. The Judicial Branch appreciates the community’s cooperation as we work to enhance our facilities in service to the people of the Virgin Islands.
