Jimiyu N. Williams, residing in Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away on May 7. He was 50 years old.
He is preceded in death by his father, James A. Williams; grandmother, Eleanor R. Sealey; grandfather, James Williams; great-grandmother, Miriam A. W. Douglas; sister, Jaheem N. Williams; and aunt, Lydia Parris.
He is survived by his mother, Rhonda M.S. Gittens; niece, Jahnailah O. Morris; nephew, Imhotep R. Charles; great-nephew, Jah-Sai Anatole; aunts, Sandra, Clintona, & Debra L. Heywood, Melecia Heywood-Terrell, Kathleen G. Brow, Bernadette Williams, LaVerne Lynch-Ortiz; uncles, Ricky, Emile III, Rubio & Dean Heywood, Renwich & Garrett A. Lynch, Irvin Peters, Jerome Dickerson; godparent, Iola Roberts; cousins and other relatives, Angela Petersen “favorite cousin”, Malisha & Malik Solis, Rubio & Ruby Heywood, Rahema Heywood-Yahn, Miniscia Nurse, Le’Joni David, Milanie Terrell, Dana Grant, Zomari Swanstoin, Parissa Terrell; extended family and countless cherished friends whose names are too numerous to mention. Funeral service will be held on June 13 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church. Service at 10 am. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
