U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — To the Family, Friends, and Loved Ones of Yvonne Galiber,
It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of my dear friend, Yvonne Galiber. Yvonne was more than a community leader—she was a bright light in the lives of so many, a woman whose warmth, generosity, and spirit touched everyone she met.
Through her tireless work with YAG, she offered hope, compassion, and practical support to those battling breast and other forms of cancer. Her mission was personal, her commitment unwavering, and her impact immeasurable. Yvonne stood not just as a fighter but as a beacon for those facing life’s most difficult trials, reminding us all of the power of love, strength, and service.
But beyond her public work, I will remember Yvonne most as a friend. We shared many good times, plenty of laughter, and conversations that I will forever cherish. She had a way of lifting your spirits with just a word, always knowing how to offer encouragement or a joke at just the right moment. She was an incredible mother, a devoted wife, a cherished friend, and an exemplary citizen of the Virgin Islands.
Yvonne’s legacy will live on—not only in the lives she touched through her nonprofit but also in the love she gave so freely, the joy she spread so effortlessly, and the example she set for all of us in how to live with purpose, kindness, and grace.
Dante and Dominique, on behalf of the people of the Virgin Islands and my family, I extend our gratitude for her life of service, and our love and prayers to her family. May she rest in peace, and may we honor her by carrying forward her spirit of compassion and community.
With deepest sympathy and fond remembrance,
Albert Bryan Jr.
Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands
