U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — To foster community engagement and participation in the festivities of Virgin Islands Carnival’s 73rd anniversary, Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has announced granting administrative leave for non-essential government employees. This leave is intended to allow employees to fully engage in the celebratory events that continue through May 3rd, 2025.

In his statement, Governor Bryan remarked, “Carnival is a cherished tradition that brings our community together, and I encourage everyone to participate in these festivities. By granting administrative leave, we hope to inspire involvement and celebrate our culture, unity, and the spirit of our islands.”
Governor Bryan encourages all government employees and residents to take advantage of this opportunity to participate in Carnival activities, which highlight the Virgin Islands’ rich cultural heritage and community spirit.
