Booth No. 1
A booth that needs no introduction, says manager Lucien Sylvester, is Booth No. 1. “We have the best chicken and johnny cakes in the Village — just ask anyone,” he said.
Judging from the congregation at the counter most might say “Amen.” The specialty drink is “anything you want,” Sylvester said.
Gwen’s Place – Booth No. 7
“If you’re here for St. John Carnival our goal is to serve you island-flavored food that will fill your belly, leave you satisfied and is just great all around,” said the folks at Gwen’s Place, Booth No. 7.
Derron Jordan – Booth No. 5
Tequila, Hennessy, and Tito’s top the drink list at Derron’s, especially after a romp around town on J’ouvert morning.
The Munchie Booth – Booth No. 4
“Stop Thinking, Start Drinking” reads the sign on the door at the Munchie Booth.
“Everybody coming for the crab legs; we’re killing the crab legs,” he said. Miss Groupie is the popular drink.
