Residents across the U.S. Virgin Islands can find the lowest fuel prices at several gas stations, according to the latest fuel price survey released by the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs for the week of January 26, 2025.

In St. Croix, the cheapest regular fuel is available at Fill & Chill Service Station at $3.949 per gallon, while Titan Service Station, Five Corners Service Station, G-Max Service Station, One Love Golden Rock, Budget Service Station, Island Petroleum, and Pit Stop Service Station offer the lowest premium fuel at $4.199 per gallon. Titan Service Station, Falcon Service Station, and G-Max Service Station provide the best price for diesel fuel at $3.999 per gallon.

In St. Thomas, drivers can find regular fuel for $4.699 per gallon at 1st Stop, Giant Gas, Home Town, Ali Baba Service Station, Petrus Frenchtown, and RaceTrack. The cheapest premium fuel at $5.199 per gallon is available at 1st Stop, 1st Stop Frydenhoj, Giant Gas Station, Home Town Service Station, Ali Baba Service Station, RaceTrack, and RaceTrack East. Diesel fuel is lowest at $5.799 per gallon at 1st Stop, 1st Stop Frydenhoj, Giant Gas, and RaceTrack East.

In St. John, RaceTrack Gas Station offers the lowest regular fuel price at $4.769 per gallon, while RaceTrack Gas Station and Midway Gas Station have premium fuel for $4.999 per gallon. The cheapest diesel fuel, priced at $5.499 per gallon, can be found at RaceTrack and Midway Gas Station.
Wholesale Fuel Prices from Sol Petroleum
The wholesale rack rates from Sol Petroleum, a major fuel supplier in the territory, are as follows:
- Regular Fuel: $2.54 per gallon
- Premium Fuel: $2.68 per gallon
- Diesel Fuel: $2.93 per gallon
The DLCA conducts regular fuel price surveys to inform consumers of the most affordable fuel options across the islands and promote market transparency.
The agency reminds fuel station owners that it is illegal to sell fuel without publicly displaying price information. Under 12A V.I.C. § 202, gas stations must clearly post the minimum octane rating, retail price per gallon, and applicable taxes for each fuel blend.
Additionally, under 12A V.I.C. § 207, all gas stations must provide a functioning air hose for public use during normal business hours. Non-compliance could result in fines of up to $100 per violation.
