The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs has issued its latest territory-wide fuel price survey findings, covering the week of November 24, 2024. Commissioner H. Nathalie Hodge announced the results, which aim to provide consumers with transparency on fuel prices and help identify the most affordable fuel options across the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Wholesale Rack Rates

According to the survey, SOL Petroleum’s wholesale rack rates for the week were as follows:

The DLCA provided a breakdown of self-service fuel prices across St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John.

The DLCA reminded fuel station owners of the legal requirement under Virgin Islands law to publicly post octane ratings, retail prices per gallon, and taxes for each type of motor fuel offered. Non-compliance can lead to penalties. Additionally, gas stations must provide a functioning air hose for public use during normal business hours. Violations of this requirement may result in fines up to $100 per offense.

Ms. Hodge reiterated the department’s dedication to ensuring transparency in pricing and assisting consumers in finding the most affordable fuel options.
