The V.I. Water and Power Authority has issued a public service announcement for residents of the St. Croix district, advising of a tentative rotation outage schedule set to begin this evening due to urgent maintenance required at the Richmond power plant.

The planned outages, which are necessary to address critical infrastructure needs, will take place during peak demand hours and may affect various feeders across the island. WAPA stated that outages will begin at 6:00 p.m. and run through 11:00 p.m., with different areas impacted during specific time blocks depending on load demand.
According to the tentative schedule:

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Feeder 6B may experience outages.

8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. – Feeders 9B and 4A are scheduled for potential disruption.

10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – Feeders 7B and 10B may be affected.
WAPA extended its apologies for the inconvenience caused and encouraged residents to remain informed by signing up for outage alerts and updates via their official website at www.viwapa.vi.

The utility emphasized that the schedule is subject to change based on real-time load conditions and urged the public to stay connected for timely information.
