The Virgin Islands Lottery has delivered its final payment to the Government Employees Retirement System (GERS), securing the annual bonus checks for eligible retirees, the agency announced on Monday, November 25, 2025.
The payment fulfills the Lottery’s commitment to retirees who served the Virgin Islands government and marks the completion of its financial obligation for this year’s bonus distribution.
Raymond Williams, VIL Executive Director, expressed appreciation for the partners who contributed to making the annual payment possible. “We owe a huge thank you to our contractors, Southland Gaming V.I. Inc., and Brightstar Inc. dba Caribbean Lottery Services, Inc., for their unwavering dedication and hard work,” Williams said. He added that the continued support of Lottery customers played a key role in reaching this point. “Their commitment, along with the loyal participation of our customers, has played a pivotal role in achieving this goal. Ensuring our retirees receive their bonuses is a testament to our collective commitment and collaborative efforts.”
The announcement was shared by Director of Marketing and Public Relations Monique C. Christian-Creque, whose contact information accompanied the notice. According to the release, VIL emphasized not only its focus on providing “exciting gaming opportunities” but also its dedication to contributing to “the welfare of the Virgin Islands’ public servants.”
The agency extended holiday greetings in its statement, closing with, “Happy Holidays from the Virgin Islands Lottery.”
