ST. THOMAS — The island community is preparing for the return of Oktoberfest, an event that blends German tradition with Caribbean spirit while raising funds for local causes. The 2nd Annual Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 4, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sib’s on the Mountain.

The celebration promises a day filled with entertainment, featuring live performances from local musicians, an array of food and drinks, and a Silent Auction offering unique items for attendees to bid on. Admission is free, with proceeds from the auction benefitting two vital nonprofit organizations: the Family Resource Center and Pets With Wings.
Organizers said the success of last year’s event set the stage for a larger and more engaging festival in 2025. “Last year’s Oktoberfest was such a success that we’re thrilled to bring it back even bigger. It’s a chance to enjoy great music and community spirit while supporting two organizations that make a real difference in St. Thomas. For agencies like the Family Resource Center and Pets with Wings, fundraisers are more important now than ever before to ensure we can continue providing vital support to those in need,” said Anya Stuart, Director of the Family Resource Center.
The Family Resource Center provides confidential and free services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, rape, and elder abuse. Its offerings include an emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy, and community outreach.
Pets With Wings, the second beneficiary, is a program dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals by transporting them from the Humane Society of St. Thomas and nearby communities to rescue partners and adoptive homes on the U.S. mainland, where there is higher demand for adoptions.
Residents unable to attend in person are encouraged to contribute by donating directly to these organizations, helping to extend their mission and support those in need.
