The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) has announced that, in accordance with Virgin Islands Rules and Regulations, Title 12, Chapter 21, Section 904-9, the St. Croix Committee of the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will be conducted via the Zoom video conferencing platform.
The agenda includes a Decision Meeting for Federal Consistency Determination, CZM0019-24, concerning the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Patrick Sweeney Headquarters Demolition and Rebuild project.
The proposed project entails constructing a new, state-of-the-art, one-story, 22,000-square-foot administrative complex. This facility is intended to consolidate current and future programmatic needs for the VIPD, providing a significant increase in square footage compared to the previous facility. The project site is located at 1 & 1A Golden Grove, Christiansted, St. Croix, VI 00820.
