A Jamaican senior drowned after reportedly being swept to sea last week while fishing in a dangerous area in Carrot Bay, police said.

The body of Ranceford George Burnett, a 68-year-old Sea Cows Bay resident, was eventually recovered, but he could not be revived, according to police.

Pronounced dead

He was later pronounced dead. No foul play is suspected in the April 9 incident, according to the police.
