Service to mailboxes at the East End/Long Look Community Centre has resumed, the BVI Post Office announced last Thursday.
Acting Postmaster General Iris Romney said mail will be delivered to the mailboxes for box holders within the following number ranges: 443-531; 2,801-2,972; 5,000-5,097; and 6,401-6,476.
She did not provide an update for any holders of boxes that don’t fall into that range.
Customers with old keys are asked to return them to the General Post Office at the Maduro Building in Road Town, where they will be issued new keys.
Customers with no key to return will be charged $20 to receive a new key.
Letterboxes are also available for rent on Anegada; on Jost Van Dyke; on Virgin Gorda at North Sound and The Valley; and on Tortola at Cane Garden Bay, Cappoons Bay, West End and Sea Cows Bay.
Anyone interested in renting a mailbox may make a formal application by contacting a post office.
