A captain was left in critical condition when the speedboat he was driving overturned shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday near Fish Bay, police said.
A video circulating on social media shows a red speedboat apparently racing another vessel out of Road Harbour before flipping high in the air. The video does not show the cause of the incident.
The captain, who was the only person aboard the boat, was transported to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital to be treated for injuries, police said Monday.
As of that afternoon, he was in critical but stable condition, according to police.
Police did not provide further details, but they promised further updates when they become available.
